The number of Americans affected by food allergies is getting higher every year. Here at Lotus our staff has been made allergy aware. We know that food allergies can be a potentially serious medical condition. We believe that everyone should have a wonderful dining experience with us, so we are doing what we can to accommodate all guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions.
The eight most common food allergens are peanuts, tree nuts, milk, egg, wheat, soy, fish, and shellfish.
Food intolerances are not life-threatening. The most common intolerances are towards lactose, wheat and gluten products, sugar, and corn products. Celiac disease is considered a food intolerance although technically it is an autoimmune disorder caused by gluten.
Lotus uses milk, egg, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish as well as cashews, almonds and raisins in our meals. We do NOT use peanuts or peanut oil.
