With a passion for authentic culinary experiences, they have created a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy traditional Indian dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Meet the Family
Surinder Pal Sroa was born in India and grew up in the grocery and spice business. Surinder and his wife Linda created Lotus in 1998. Surinder has been a resident of Marin County since 1987 and is blessed to run and operate the best Indian restaurant in Marin.
Navjot “Joti” Sroa is the son of Surinder Sroa and has been working for Lotus since he was in school. He went to Santa Rosa Junior College for culinary arts & restaurant management.
Navjot got married to Alisha Sroa in 2016, and since then, Navjot & Alisha have taken Lotus to the next level.
In 2020, Joti & Alisha purchased the old Pizza Orgasmica building with an idea to expand new horizons & create a restaurant to their liking, with an attached grocery store & their own parking lot.
Community Support
Lotus Cuisine of India is well respected for our commitment to our community in San Rafael and Marin County.
Each year since 2004, Lotus has been giving back to the community by hosting our annual free Thanksgiving dinner the night before Thanksgiving, where anyone & everyone is welcome.
We donate on a regular basis to extrafood.org, Bioneers, food banks, & the less fortunate.
